FROM THE VERY BEGINNING our goal at Northwest Trawlers has been to design, engineer, and manufacture a very high quality stylish trawler yacht. Built using only the finest quality materials and state of the art techniques; we wanted to make it possible to offer you a unique opportunity to get involved in tailoring our trawlers to your specific needs. Experience a genuine sense of partnership that’s unique in this industry.

INTERIORS: Owners are enthusiastically encouraged to become involved with our design team to conceive just the right personalized interior layout. Wherever possible, sustainable, environmentally responsible materials are offered. Nothing has been compromised to deliver the best owner experience. From the very beginning of the construction, through commissioning and delivery, and continuing for many years of owner enjoyment – you have been part of the process all the way.
Careful attention is taken to help you in the selection of just the right woods, fabrics, flooring, lighting and plumbing fixtures, counter surfaces and other interior refinements. We believe the same level of creature comforts you would find at home or at a fine resort should be available whether you are docked, at anchor in a remote cove, or underway at sea. Viking, Bertazzoni, Liebherr, Sub Zero, Fisher Paykel and Bosch are all gourmet appliance options to make your galley a unique, functional, center for entertaining. Northwest Trawlers even come standard with a full sized Bosch washer/dryer. Combining the best use of interior space without crowding is top priority of our interior design criteria. You won’t find narrow, steep staircases on Northwest Trawlers. Moving about the boat, at anchor or underway, is an easy, comfortable and pleasant experience.

HULL DESIGN: In designing our hull we went from the sketch pad to 3D modeling, to extensive tank testing. The end result is an efficient modified semi-displacement hull with outstanding performance and good sea keeping characteristics. This hull delivers an extremely high level of stability; not only underway but at anchor as well. The deep, wide, full length keel, prop tunnel, large prop and articulating rudder found on Northwest Trawlers adds efficiency, directional stability and amazing maneuverability, not found in other production trawlers.
On our 2200 mile shakedown cruise from Anacortes, Washington to La Paz, Mexico we found in head seas, beam seas, or in large quartering following seas, our Northwest Trawler prototype, Nor’wester, tracked as if it was on rails.

CONSTRUCTION: It’s a “green” process. Northwest Trawlers employs the resin infusion process, using 100% vinyl ester resins and Core Cell® coring material in the construction of the hull and superstructure. This produces the strongest and most durable structure of any fiberglass vessel made today. Vinyl ester resins protect against osmotic blistering and due to the elasticity of the fiberglass, reduce the chances of crazing or spider cracking. Another advantage of this process is virtually no VOCs are released into the atmosphere during the infusion process.

PROPULSION AND MECHANICAL: An extensive list of standard features and accessory options are available to ensure your Northwest Trawler meets or exceeds your mission requirements.
If long range, efficient cruising is desired, the standard engine installation is an efficient John Deere 6068 single diesel. With this engine, you can expect displacement speed cruising with top speeds of 10-11 knots and a fuel economy approaching 3nm per gallon.
If higher speeds are desired, the John Deere 6125 single diesel may be your choice. This powerful, efficient, engine can deliver cruising speeds in the mid-teens with top speeds even higher. Range at higher speeds is limited but you would have the option of slowing to displacement speed and getting the same mileage the standard engine delivers.
Northwest Trawlers has the capability to deliver what you can conceive. We offer you a variety of options. Some options often selected on Northwest Trawlers are active fin stabilizers, hydraulic windlass and bow thruster, hydraulic get home systems, fuel polishing systems, watermakers, advanced electronic and navigation systems, remote engine and steering controls, and many more.
So whether it is a weekend cruise or a voyage of a lifetime, we feel confident a Northwest Trawler is your best choice for comfort, performance, safety, and styling.

You imagine it…..we make it happen.
